Overview

AMECET - Aeronautical & Maintenance Engineering Combined Entrance Test conducted by "Sky High Aviation” is a national level common entrance test to offer admission into various Aviation Colleges, which are approved by government of India. SHA is conducting this examination since 2019.


AMECET – Aeronautical & Maintenance Engineering Combined Entrance Test

AMECET is an entrance exam conducted by Sky High Aviation for admission to various training schools in India. All the training schools and colleges are approved by Director General of Civil Aviation and AICTE. DGCA is the sole authority in India for approval of AME Training Schools in India and Regulatory body to look after the working of Aviation Organizations in India. AICTE is the sole authority for approval of B.Tech., programs in India. SHA will be conducting this entrance examinations every year at different centres throughout the country. This exam is usually conducted in the month of May.

 

PROCEDURE OF APPLYING FOR ENTRANCE TEST

Online Applications will be invited from eligible candidates of residents of India, and Indian Nationals residing in other countries, for admission into first year AME / Aeronautical Engineering / Cabin Crew / CPL program run in various training schools.

 

DURATION FOR B.Tech., AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING

It's is a four year degree program. Its spread over eight semesters. During this period students will have theoretical and practical classes along with internships at the end of each even semester.

 

QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO B.Tech., (AERONAUTICAL)

Minimum eligibility criteria for admission into B.Tech. Aeronautical is:

  • Applicant must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or equivalent. Students having any other optional subject in place of Chemistry are also eligible. E.g. Computer Science in place of chemistry along with Physics and Mathematics.
  • 3 years Engineering Diploma in the relevant stream. (i.e. Diploma in Mechanical, Production & Industrial, Electronics & Communication, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Telecommunication Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering. Students with this qualification are eligible for lateral entry into second year of Aeronautical Engineering Program.
  • Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Students with this qualification are eligible for lateral entry into second year of Aeronautical Engineering Program.
  • As per the AICTE norms, candidate must have minimum 45% marks in 10+2 in PCM or equivalent or in any of the above qualification requirement.

It's is a two year program. spread over four semesters. During this period students will have theoretical and practical classes along with internships at the end of each even semester.


Eligibility for Admission into Aircraft Maintenance Engineering

The minimum qualification for admission to the course is a pass in

  1. 10+2 pre-degree/intermediate or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / B.Sc. with Maths, Physics & Chemistry.
  2. Diploma in Engineering.

 

EXAMINATION SCHEME

AMECET shall consist of single examination of three hours duration containing 40 objective type questions in each subject i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The total no. of questions will be 120 carrying one mark each. There will be no negative marking for wrong answer. The questions in the test booklet will be both in Hindi as well as in English.



Usually AMECET is conducted in the month of May at various centres throughout India.
